Definition and concepts

Monthly allowance for raising / caring for a child - monthly amount provided for raising and caring for children until the child turns 3 years old in case of insured persons, and until the child turns 2 years old in case of uninsured persons (Government Decision No. 1478 dated 15.11.2002 on allowances provided to families with children). Starting with 01.10.2022, according to GD no.724/2022 provides monthly allowance for childcare until the age of 2 years, regardless of the person’s status.

Total number of children who benefit from childcare/parenting allowance for children up to 3 years old/2 years old (insured/uninsured persons), out of the total number of children aged up to 3 years old.
Comparability with global indicator

Only the allowances for raising/caring children up to 3/2 years old, for insured and uninsured persons are considered. Starting with 01.10.2022, according to GD no.724/2022 provides monthly allowance for childcare until the age of 2 years, regardless of the person’s status.
