Definition and concepts

Corruption control measures the degree at which public power is exercised for personal profit, including both forms of corruption - petty corruption and big corruption, as well as “state capturing by elites and private interests”. The estimation attributes the country a score based on the aggregated indicator, in normal standard distribution units, meaning in between -2.5 and 2.5.
