Definition and concepts

The indicator is based on the data of the Partner Report on Support to Statistics (PRESS), which is drafted and managed by PARIS21 to offer an image of the value in USD for the support to statistics provided to developing countries. Data are collected based on the on-line questionnaire PARIS21 and from the system of Credits’ Reporting.

Method of computation

Volume of foreign assistance from all sources and from all donors, expressed in USD, provided for enhancing the national statistical system.

Calculation is performed by transforming the financial amounts in USD using the average exchange rate for the period of the project / year of the program. If the payment amounts were reported, the average exchange rate for the period of the payment year is used.
