Definition and concepts
<p>Managerial positions are considered = major group 1 according to the Classification of Occupations </p> <p>For higher and medium managerial positions, the sub-groups 11, 12, 13 (or major group 1 without 14) will be taken into consideration. The indicator reflects women’s capacities to accede decision-making positions, as well as the level of women’s empowering to participate in decision making </p> <p> .</p>

Other methodological considerations

The indicator provides information on the proportion of women who are employed in decision-making and management roles in government, large enterprises and institutions, thus providing some insight into women’s power in decision making and in the economy (especially compared to men’s power in those areas).

<p>Proportion of women in managerial position total managerial positions * 100.</p> <p>Proportion of women in senior and middle management in total senior and middle management * 100.</p>
