From 2019 LFS is carried out on a new sampling plan, according to a new definition of employment and data are estimated using the number of usually resident population.

Data for 2014-2018 years were estimated using the number of usually resident population.

Other methodological considerations

This indicator conveys the contribution of manufacturing in total employment. It measures the ability of the manufacturing sector to absorb surplus labour from agricultural and other traditional sectors.

Number of persons employed in manufacturing industry as a proportion of the total employed persons in economy * 100.
