Definition and concepts |
Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) - enterprises who meet cumulatively the following conditions: a) have an annual medium number of employees (the average number of personnel on paper during the period of reference) up to 250; b) has an annual turnover (revenues from sale) up to 50 million MDL or have total assets (current assets and movable operating fixed asset) up to 50 million MDL, according to the last approved financial report. It should be mentioned that the ceiling of the turnover and total assets may be modified by the Government, depending on the evolution of the macroeconomic indicators (art. 4 of the Law No. 179 dated 21.07.2016 on Small and Medium Enterprises) |
